Control Resonant: PS5 features detailed

Details on performance, quality, balanced modes, and DualSense support ahead of the Sept 24 launch.

Confirmed console details

  • The main story takes anywhere from 25 to 35 hours to complete, with plenty more for completionists. On PlayStation 5, you can track your main story quest progress through Activities. Game Help will also be available post-launch.
  • Control Resonant’s twisted Manhattan is split into visually distinct Zones, each with its own look. Fast traveling across them is near-instantaneous, as is going back and forth to the Gap, a liminal space within Dylan’s mind that he can access at will. In the Gap, you can unlock upgrades for Dylan and his shapeshifting weapon, the Aberrant, test your builds, craft Artifacts, and more.
  • Control Resonant is a gameplay-driven experience, built with 60fps performance in mind from the beginning, as feel and responsiveness take top priority. To enhance this, Remedy’s game designers have taken full advantage of the DualSense adaptive triggers to give Dylan’s many combat abilities a tactile feel and create a stronger connection between your actions and his.
  • Dylan’s various paranatural combat abilities, such as Barrage (which launches projectiles against enemies), or summoning a Volatile Anomaly (which is a turret-like ally that can be thrown and detonated), provide different levels of resistance when you pull the triggers to activate these abilities.
  • On PlayStation 5, the game offers Performance and Quality modes. Performance mode targets 60fps at 1440p, while Quality mode targets 30fps at 2160p.
  • Performance mode targets 60fps at 2160p. Quality mode targets 30fps at 2160p and adds ray tracing.
