Bohemia Interactive has confirmed the price of DayZ Badlands, the next paid expansion for DayZ. The expansion costs about 24.99 US dollars, with regional pricing in some markets. It arrives on October 15, 2026, together with the free Update 1.30 for the base game.
The studio says the price reflects the size of the package. Badlands is built around Nasdara, a brand new terrain made specifically for DayZ, and every core feature promised for the expansion is still on track for launch day.
What DayZ Badlands adds
- Sandstorms that sweep across the new map
- Rebuilding mechanics and houses that players can restore
- Motorcycles with their own physics
- Radio gameplay, including Morse code signals that point to underground shelters
- Regional firearms, clothing and loot
- New wildlife such as dogs, desert monitors and mouflons
- Regional diseases
- Underground facilities powered by a new terrain hole system, which will also be open to other maps and to modders
Creator Program returns before launch
Bohemia is also bringing back its Creator Program with Lurkit. Approved streamers, video creators and modders will get an early build and can stream it from October 8 until the morning of October 15. Videos must stay unpublished until the embargo lifts on release morning. The radio feature will be held back during this event and will only appear at launch.
Applicants sign up through Lurkit. The studio’s guideline is roughly 5,000 to 10,000 subscribers or about 50 concurrent viewers on YouTube, Twitch or TikTok, or an active Steam Workshop profile for modders, although it says it will be flexible. Participants who submit their content receive a retail key and extra keys to give away to their communities.
For players, the main takeaway is simple: Badlands is a paid expansion at about 24.99 US dollars, and it can already be wishlisted on Steam ahead of the October 15 release.
