The Witcher 3 Remastered PC Requirements Revealed for Path Tracing, Ray Tracing and Rasterization

CD Projekt RED has revealed the official PC system requirements for The Witcher 3 Remastered.

The Witcher 3 Remastered PC Requirements Revealed for Path Tracing, Ray Tracing and Rasterization

According to DSOGaming, to run The Witcher 3 Remastered, PC gamers will need an Intel Core i5 8400 or an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with 12GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660, an AMD Radeon RX 5500XT, or an Intel Arc A580. With this PC setup, players can run the game at 1080p/30FPS on Low Settings. CDPR will release The Witcher 3 Remastered on September 29.

VICE also reports that the Witcher 3 Remastered patch notes reveal a new skill tree, gear Reforging, graphics upgrades, expanded Photo Mode, and more.

IGN adds that the Witcher 3 Remastered comes out tomorrow with a whole host of improvements that yet again bring it into the current generation. Even with that beefy graphics card, the system requirements suggest that players will need both DLSS upscaling and frame generation to hit 60 fps, which means Nvidia's penultimate GPU still struggles with the 11-year-old game. The best way to get good performance out of The Witcher 3 Remastered right now, short of buying an RTX 5090, is to disable path tracing entirely.
