September and October 2026 are shaping up to be two of the busiest gaming months of the year. Official publisher and platform pages now confirm at least 11 major launches across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
That distinction matters. Several viral release calendars combine confirmed dates with games whose launch plans have not been directly verified. The list below includes only major releases confirmed through official sources as of August 18, 2026.

## The Busiest Weeks
September appears especially competitive. Marvel’s Wolverine arrives on September 15, while Control Resonant and Silent Hill: Townfall launch together on September 24.
October shifts the focus toward major multiplayer releases. Gears of War: E-Day opens the month before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 arrives on October 23.
Release dates can still change, especially several weeks before launch. GamingBroject will update this calendar if any publisher announces a delay or platform change.
