MP1st also reports that NC (formerly NCSOFT) has been hard at work on their latest MMORPG, AION 2. One thing to note: AION 2 launched in Taiwan and South Korea on November 19, 2025. AION 2 launches globally on October 5, 2026.

Steam adds that players can jump into AION 2 with no prior knowledge of AION’s world or story! The reward details will be shared closer to the global launch date.

According to MP1st, Verticality was also an important design language used throughout, reflecting the focus on flying that AION 2 emphasizes. AION 2 will launch free-to-play, with all base content available to everyone who simply downloads the game.
