Channels are separate instances of a zone, each with its own player group. Most hold about 100 players, though some have different caps based on function. Standard channels prohibit player attacks, while PvP channels allow combat with bonus experience rewards.

PvP channels are accessible from the demo's start. Players can switch to them by finding a Nui Statue, and all four classes with two weapon options are available for combat.

The game includes scenarios like trade runs and guild conflicts in PvP channels, reflecting player-driven stories from the original ArcheAge.

Our Take

ArcheAge is personally my favorite MMO, by far the best one I've ever played.

As for Chronicles, I don't have an opinion, because from what I've seen I don't think it's the continuation of the story. According to the rumors, another ArcheAge will come out in ’27 as its continuation. We'll see. Hopefully it will be good, however it turns out.
