Ubisoft is opening March of Giants to a much wider group of players. The Pioneer Playtest for its upcoming four versus four MOBA runs from October 7 to October 18, 2026, and the studio has also confirmed that Early Access is planned for summer 2027.

What kind of game is it

March of Giants puts each player in control of a towering Giant on battlefields inspired by World War I. Every Giant has its own set of abilities, and you also command battalions of soldiers that can push lanes, collect materials or capture temporary buffs for the team. A system called Battleworks lets you reshape the arena during a match, for example by building up defenses, boosting an attack or calling in reinforcements.

Who can join the Pioneer Playtest

Sign ups are open to players in North America and selected European countries. Anyone who took part in the Closed Alpha in September 2025 is already invited and does not need to apply again. Approved players will see the game appear in their library when the test begins on October 7 at 7:00 AM Pacific, which is 10:00 AM Eastern, 2:00 PM UTC and 5:00 PM in Greece. Ubisoft says streaming and recording are allowed during the test.

Premiere on October 7

The team will also host a YouTube premiere on October 7 at 9:00 AM Pacific, or 4:00 PM UTC. It promises a first look at the playable Giants, a closer view of Battleworks and comments from the developers about building a new MOBA.

You can wishlist the game on its official Steam page.
