The Sift is Minecraft’s first new dimension in over 14 years.
The Sift will become part of Minecraft in 2027.
But on top of that, Mojang Studios confirmed that the Sift will come to Minecraft in 2027, offering an entire new dimension for you to explore, survive, and create within.
In the opening stages of Minecraft Dungeons II, players will realize something is amiss. Strange events begin to upend the natural order of the Overworld, new enemy types appear, and souls begin to fly through the world. You’ve stumbled on the Sift.
This new reality brings an entirely different, colorful new look, new mobs (both companions and threats, all unique) and, once you enter, new rules to learn. Shifting tides within the Sift can affect your character and those around you; hazardous new blocks will alter how you approach exploration; new environments will put your skills to the test.
The Sift contains new biomes, including Meadows and Carapace, but Mojang are keeping other areas a secret for players to discover when they play Minecraft Dungeons II.
Minecraft Dungeons II launches September 29 for XBOX Series X|S, XBOX on PC, and will be included with Game Pass. Play it on both console and PC at no additional cost with XBOX Play Anywhere. Also available on Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
