According to VGC, Dimensions are parallel worlds within Minecraft with unique biomes and structures. Minecraft’s last dimension, The End, was released back in October 2011. Revealed on Saturday, Minecraft’s next new dimension is The Sift, which is described as “beautiful, vibrant, and teeming with souls”.

Unboxholics also reports that one of the biggest additions in Minecraft history has been announced by Mojang Studios, unveiling Sift, the first new dimension created for the game in over 14 years. Before its official arrival in the main game, players will have the chance to explore Sift through Minecraft Dungeons 2, which launches on September 29 for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. More details regarding its content and how to access it in the base Minecraft game are expected to be announced in the coming months.

BBC adds that Minecraft fans will soon be able to build in a brand new dimension. Minecraft currently has three dimensions, the Overworld, the Nether and the End. For the first time in more than 14 years, a new dimension is being added, called The Sift.
