Morbid Metal Adds Kaizu, a Rage Brawler, to Its PC Early Access

Morbid Metal Adds Kaizu, a Rage Brawler, to Its PC Early Access

Morbid Metal now has a fourth playable character. Ubisoft announced on October 2, 2026 that Kaizu has joined the roster of the hack and slash roguelike from developer Screen Juice, which is currently in Early Access on Steam for Windows PC.

Who is Kaizu

In the story, Kaizu is the combat model that came closest to beating the Operator. When defeat was certain, Eden helped him slip into the Void, where she now keeps him safe as a benchmark for new models and as a possible key to freeing the Simulation. In play he is a close range brawler built around constant pressure, and he joins Flux, Ekku and Vekta. As with the other characters, you can shift into him in the middle of a fight.

His six Protocols

Kaizu brings six Protocols, each with its own Routine Tree. Leap and Void Boulder both mark targets as Vulnerable, Combo Kick extends normal attacks into heavier kicks, Rage is a shout that hits everything nearby and stacks buffs on him, Gattling is a flurry that grows stronger the longer it lasts, and Lariat is a charge that hits every enemy in its path.

Vulnerable enemies take extra damage and stay Vulnerable after you switch to another character, which makes Kaizu a strong opener before a swap. His Empower effect also adds a stack to every stackable Corpora and buff he already has. Ubisoft suggests a simple loop: apply Vulnerable, build buffs with Rage or Gattling, then finish with Lariat.
