Assassin's Creed Valhalla gets its long-awaited New Game+ on November 5, Ubisoft says, after the game passed 40 million players.
Release date and milestone
Ubisoft has set November 5 as the date for New Game+ in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The publisher shared the news in its latest franchise update, written by Head of Content Jean Guesdon, and tied it to a player milestone: Valhalla has now passed 40 million players. Ubisoft calls New Game+ one of the features the community has asked for most, and jokes in the post that the wait has been very, very, very long. The same update also covers Black Flag Resynced, the multiplayer project Codename Invictus and the franchise leadership team.
How New Game+ works
New Game+ lets players start a fresh run while carrying over much of their progression, with dedicated NG+ scaling, according to Ubisoft. The post pitches it as a way to replay Eivor's saga with a different build. It also describes an optional progression mode in which Gear, Runes and Masteries all add to Eivor's overall Power, so the gear players bring into a new run still counts.
New rewards and Mithril
Ubisoft lists new runes, achievements, a stash system and new rewards among the additions. One of those rewards is a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe's look in Assassin's Creed Shadows. The update also brings Mithril, a new resource used to upgrade Divine Gear and strengthen runes. Ubisoft says it will publish the full rundown in the upcoming Patch Notes.
What Valhalla owners should know
New Game+ is arriving November 5. Ubisoft promises full details in the upcoming Patch Notes, plus news about current-generation console updates in the coming days. Players who want to weigh in can use Discord, Reddit and Ubisoft's social channels, because that feedback will help inform future talks about bringing similar updates to other Assassin's Creed titles. The post stops short of promising the same feature for any other game.
Black Flag Resynced final update
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced launched on July 9, and Ubisoft Singapore has kept adding quality-of-life updates and new content since. Its final major update is now out, bringing New Game+, Nightmare Mode, new rewards, finishers, trinkets and more customization options. Ubisoft says more quality-of-life patches are planned in the months ahead.
Codename Invictus status
Ubisoft also gave a brief status check on Codename Invictus, its multiplayer project. Hundreds of players joined a private Insiders Session a few months ago and tried an early prototype. The response to the return of PVP was positive, Ubisoft says, though testers wanted more of the elements that define the series, and the team has been acting on that. Ubisoft stresses that Invictus is still in development and that information found online may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate.
Our Take
Ubisoft is using Valhalla as a test case. New Game+ is already in Black Flag Resynced, and the company says player feedback will shape whether similar updates reach other Assassin's Creed games. Our bet is that the response to this release decides how many older titles get the same treatment. Valhalla owners should watch the Patch Notes for the details that matter most, including what the new Power system asks of their gear.

Leadership team and survey
Ubisoft says the new Assassin's Creed Leadership Team, led by Martin Schelling, has spent recent months refining the long-term vision and defining key priorities, though it is not ready to share specifics. To collect more feedback, the company plans several closed-door workshops this year with community members and content creators. A new Community Survey is also live now.
