God of War Laufey Collector Box Skips the Game for a Faye Statue

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studio have revealed a Collector Box for God of War Laufey, and it does not include the game. Preorders opened on October 13 through PlayStation Direct, at 10 a.m. ET in the US and 10 a.m. local time in Europe, and the box releases on February 16, 2027, the same day the PS5 exclusive launches.

What is inside the box

The centerpiece is an eight inch resin statue showing Faye alongside Phranque and Rue as they battle Begtse’s soldiers. Phranque lights up when the statue is connected to USB power. Next to it sits the Oracle Deck, a set of 51 cards featuring custom illustrations by artist Megan Lara, plus a physical mini artbook filled with concept art picked by the studio. The packaging itself carries original artwork inspired by the game.

What you will not find is a copy of God of War Laufey. There is no disc, no download code and no SteelBook case, and the PlayStation Direct listing states plainly that the game is sold separately.

Price and where to order

The recommended price is 149.99 US dollars, 149.99 euros or 129.99 British pounds. In the US, the box is sold through direct.playstation.com. In Europe, it can be ordered from PlayStation’s own store in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Sony says quantities are highly limited, and the UK listing caps orders at one per customer.

Buying the game itself

Anyone who actually wants to play will need a separate edition. The Standard Edition costs 69.99 US dollars or 69.99 British pounds, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs 79.99 US dollars or 79.99 British pounds. The Deluxe version adds the Dark Alchemy armor set, blade, bow scales and catalyst, an in game resource pack, a digital mini artbook and the digital soundtrack. Preordering either version also unlocks the Last Wish Armor Set, the Phranque Golden Leaves appearance and a resource pack. Sony also confirmed in July that the game will get a physical disc release.
