Blizzard announced that Diablo II: Resurrected Ladder Season 16 starts Friday, November 13 at 5 p.m. PST, with item updates and bug fixes.
Ladder schedule
Blizzard published the Ladder schedule for Diablo II: Resurrected. Ladder Season 15 ends on Monday, November 9 at 11 a.m. PST, and the Season 16 patch begins rolling out the same day. Ladder Season 16 then starts on Friday, November 13 at 5 p.m. PST, according to the developer's official news post.
Race to Level 99
Blizzard says the new season gives players another chance to race to Level 99 and collect loot along the way. The studio also says it expects players to carve their names into the Leaderboard. As with earlier seasons, Ladder Season 16 will feature different modes, though the post does not list them in the text provided.
Shared Stash rules
Blizzard explained what happens to Shared Stash loot when Ladder Season 15 ends. Ladder characters move to their respective non-ladder group, and items in that group's Shared Stash go into new Withdraw Only tabs. Any Season 14 items in those tabs are lost at that point. Players have all of Ladder Season 16 to withdraw Season 15 items they want to keep.
Character conversions
The developer also changed how characters convert between partitions. Starting November 16, players can no longer convert Expansion (LoD) Online characters, Ladder or Non-Ladder, to Reign of the Warlock. Blizzard says players can still convert Offline characters, as well as Classic to Expansion (LoD) characters.
Items leaving Ladder only
Blizzard says previously updated Ladder-only items will be available in Non-Ladder with the new season. The change applies to Reign of the Warlock only, and the developer states these items will not be changed for Classic or LoD.
Item updates
A separate list covers item updates in Online Ladder and Offline only, again for Reign of the Warlock and not Classic or LoD. The notes include many Enhanced Damage increases. One item goes from 10% Increased Attack Speed to 20%, one raises Necromancer Skill Levels from +3 to +4, and another changes from Level 8 Revive with 88 charges to +5 To Revive.
Bug fixes
The patch notes list several bug fixes, according to Blizzard. Jewels now drop correctly after the last Uber Ancients boss is killed following long absences from the Colossal Summit. The Terror Zone toggle for online play now saves the player's previous choice, and a Warlock's bound demon no longer loses behavior when Inferno is interrupted by portal travel.
