Alien Deathstorm Trailer Confirms Spring 2027 Xbox and PC Launch

Rebellion has released a new gamescom trailer for Alien Deathstorm, offering the clearest look yet at its science-fiction survival shooter. The footage follows an Engineer sent to an off-world mining colony that has lost contact with Earth, only to find the settlement devastated by a catastrophic storm and overrun by hostile alien creatures. What the trailer reveals The Gamescom footage is captured from the Reactor mission, which takes place around the middle of the game. Players must enter a malfunctioning fission reactor, diagnose several faults and restore its systems while moving through exposed areas, an underground substation and locations prepared for ambushes. The mega-storm is more than background scenery. It is an escalating environmental threat that tears through the colony and forces the player to navigate wreckage outside, while indoor areas create a different kind of pressure as aliens stalk from the shadows. Combat, aliens and survival tools Rebellion says the aliens can adapt, hunt in packs and react to the scenario and the player’s approach. The current reveal includes Soldiers, Scuttlers, Blister Scuttlers and Scuttler Swarms. The Engineer is not presented as a super soldier, so survival depends on weapons, awareness and the careful use of tools. The trailer shows a pistol, SMG and shotgun, with blueprints used to create upgrades for components such as optics, stocks, barrels and magazines. The Engineer’s hammer can repair machinery or serve as a melee weapon, while grenades, flares, health injectors and a Geiger Scanner provide additional options. Release window and platforms Alien Deathstorm is scheduled to launch in Spring 2027 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. It will also be available through Game Pass from day one, and the game can already be added to a wishlist.
