The developer announced that The Fractured Skies expansion for EVE Online arrives on 10 November, bringing new Factional Warfare content over the coming months.
Second Theaters of War
The developer says Fractured Skies is the second expansion of the Theaters of War trilogy, with the four empires in direct competition as a new age of warfare approaches. A peace brokered by CONCORD currently holds between them, but fractures are expected to appear as tensions rise. New capsuleers recruited on day one get free pre-fitted ships from the AIR Academy.
Four Navy battlecruisers
According to the developer, four new navy attack battlecruisers enter the fight in November, each with different strengths. The Naga Navy Issue trades hybrid weapons for cruise missiles and torpedoes. All four ships are sold only through Factional Warfare LP stores, so players must earn them through that system.
Tornado, Oracle and Talos
The studio describes the other three ships by their strengths. The Tornado Fleet Issue pushes projectile firepower further and is harder to hit under microwarpdrive, while the Oracle Navy Issue reaches farther with improved optimal range. The Talos Navy Issue is built for movement, gaining mobility and falloff to remain dangerous while on the move.
Synchronizer rigs
Fractured Skies introduces synchronizer rigs, the developer says. Nine Synchronizer sets cover the four empires and five pirate factions, giving players room for fitting experimentation and faction-focused builds. Pirate Synchronizers bring bonuses that no existing rig offers, but they come with heavier drawbacks.
The developer announced that each empire starts a flash Military Campaign at launch, with four campaign objectives spanning exploration, PvE, PvP, and industry. Completed objectives unlock bonuses for the empire, and those bonuses become active across designated faction systems from 5 January, strengthening capsuleers operating within them.
January empire clash
The studio says the four empires clash later in January in a major battle over access to the Drifter technology, calling on all capsuleers to help. The clash takes place in lowsec. The empire that prevails gains an exclusive Drifter module through its LP store for a limited time.
EVE Vanguard paid alpha
The developer confirmed that EVE Vanguard becomes playable 24/7 as a paid Alpha on 10 November alongside Fractured Skies. Capsuleers can enter combat, hacking, and mining sites unlocked by ground play to secure rewards, including items that contribute to Military Campaigns.
Vanguard November update
According to the developer, the November update for EVE Vanguard expands the game significantly with three new maps with different security levels, an improved new-player journey, deeper weapon progression, new equipment, and a refreshed combat experience. One of the maps, High Castle, is the highsec area and offers a siege-like fortress where players can operate without PvP damage.
