With Marvel’s Wolverine out since September, the next first party exclusive on the PlayStation 5 calendar is Until Dawn 2. Sony confirmed on the PlayStation Blog that the horror sequel launches on January 28, 2027, exclusively on PS5, as Game Rant points out.
Until Dawn 2 is developed by Firesprite Games, and creative director Stu Tilley says the story was crafted in partnership with AdHoc Studio, the team behind Dispatch. Like the original, it is a branching horror story where the choices you make decide who lives and who dies.
Dead True heads to Akishima Island
This time players guide Dead True, a crew of ghost hunting YouTubers who fake their paranormal encounters for views. After a shoot at Blackwood Sanitorium, a direct link to the first game, the crew meets Yoona, a survivor who warns them about Akishima Island, a remote South Pacific resort that has been abandoned since the 1970s. The eight members of the crew are Owen, Mina, Nate, Reagan, Izzy, Luke, Josie and Cameron.
The cast includes Dacre Montgomery as Owen, Camila Senna as Mina, Spence Moore II as Nate, Sarah Catherine Hook as Izzy and Gia Kim as Yoona, while Peter Stormare is back as Dr. Hill. Watch the official preorder trailer for Until Dawn 2 below.
