Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Is Out Now: Relics, Platforms and Price

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is out now, and Rose Belmont’s search through a monster-filled Paris is more than a hunt for collectibles. Relics can change how she fights and survives, so here is what is confirmed about the game, its editions and the equipment system before you spend your money.

Where can you play it, and what does it cost?

The publisher launched Belmont’s Curse on October 15 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam and the original Nintendo Switch. Its official product page does not list a separate native Switch 2 edition. The US PlayStation Store currently lists the Standard Edition at USD 29.99 and the Midnight Edition at USD 39.99. Prices can differ by region and storefront, so check your own store before buying.

The Standard Edition includes the game. The Midnight Edition adds the Digital Sound & Art Gallery, Trevor and Sypha style costumes, and a bonus relic called Family’s Grace. The official product page lists that relic with the Midnight Edition bonuses, so do not assume it comes with the Standard Edition. If those extras do not matter to you, the Standard Edition contains the full game. A free PS5 demo is also listed on the PlayStation Store if you want to try the feel of the whip before buying.

What do relics actually do?

The official game site describes relics as equipment that triggers effects for offense and defense. They sit alongside seven weapon categories, letting you experiment with different combinations rather than treating every pickup as a simple stat increase. Bosses also feed a separate Arcana system: defeated enemies can be sealed in Rose’s tarot cards to unlock spells or special actions. Arcana and relics are separate systems: the former grants abilities from defeated bosses, while the latter modifies Rose’s equipment setup.

Rose explores Paris in 1499 with the Vampire Killer whip. The game’s official site emphasizes using it for movement as well as fighting, while side routes reward exploration with secrets and upgrades. That makes it worth checking optional paths and reading each newly found item’s effect before committing to one setup. These preparation tips are based on the publisher’s descriptions, not hands-on testing of every build.

Is this a complete relic locations guide?

No. GamingBroject has not independently verified every relic chest in the released game, so this article does not pretend to map all locations. A reliable room-by-room route requires hands-on checking; until then, the confirmed systems and buying details are more useful than invented coordinates.

What else should you know before buying?

The official specifications list 8 GB of minimum required storage for the Standard Edition, or 4 GB on Nintendo Switch. Its official product information lists 60 fps for non-Switch platforms and 30 fps for Switch. Those are publisher specifications, not independent performance measurements. The game is rated Teen by the ESRB, and the US PlayStation listing describes it as a one-player game with offline play enabled.

GamingBroject’s take

The interesting question is not how many relics can be collected, but whether mixing them with weapons and Arcana makes Rose’s builds feel meaningfully different. That is the question a hands-on test should answer. Until then, this is a buying and systems guide, not a scored review or a made-up walkthrough.
