K.I.T.T. is drivable in Stuntman: Hollywood. Saber Interactive showed a new gameplay trailer at the Galaxies Autumn Showcase on October 15, and it puts the talking Pontiac from Knight Rider, the NBC series that ran from 1982 to 1986, through a run of jumps, drifts and near misses, complete with a nod to Super Pursuit Mode.
It’s the third big reveal for the revival after the June announcement and an August trailer built around Jurassic World. What it still doesn’t come with is a release date. The Steam page says “to be announced,” so for now this is a game you can wishlist on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, not one you can preorder.
How Stuntman: Hollywood plays
If you played the PS2 era Stuntman games, the structure will feel familiar. You’re a stunt driver working your way up to become Hollywood’s most wanted performer, and each film is split into episodes, each one a separate level with its own vehicle, set and twist. Saber producer Russ Dawson laid out the rules on the PlayStation Blog back in June:
- Director tasks: each shoot has required stunts, like drifting through a gap, holding a line or riding on two wheels.
- Takes and timers: shoots run against the clock with a limited number of takes, so sloppy runs cost you.
- Free stunts: extra risks, such as skimming past a flamethrower, earn style on top of the script.
- Stars and awards: required stunts, free stunts and optional director challenges add up to stars and a better stunt award per film.
- Extras: a garage for trophies and keepsakes, short B roll films, and stunt arenas.
The licence is the big hook. Stunts are inspired by Universal Pictures films and NBCUniversal shows, including Fast & Furious, Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, Death Race and Jurassic World. Alongside K.I.T.T. and the Back to the Future Time Machine, you’ll drive supercars, muscle cars, SUVs, motorcycles and, yes, a school bus. Steam lists it as single player only.

What players are saying
On the game’s Steam discussion board, nostalgia is doing most of the talking. Several threads come from people who played the originals as kids, one from a fan who says they’ve collected the series for over 20 years. The most active threads are wish lists: which other film and TV cars should make the cut (The A Team van comes up), Turkish and Arabic subtitles, Workshop support, and whether the Stunt Constructor mode from older games is coming back. There’s also a blunt “Release date?” thread with nobody able to answer it.
Not all of it is warm. A few posters say they’re wary of Saber’s attitude toward generative AI and want a guarantee the game ships without AI generated content or microtransactions. Others are confused about what the game actually is, asking whether it’s a racer. That’s a fair question when two trailers have gone by without a clear look at a full mission from start to finish.
Our take
Putting the Knight Rider car in a Stuntman game is the kind of fan service that works because it fits the format: K.I.T.T. was doing stunts on TV long before this. The episode and takes structure is smart too, since it keeps the series’ trial and error core while giving you a reason to replay for stars. The risk is the same one that dogged Stuntman: Ignition in 2007. Limited takes plus strict director cues can tip from tense into tedious if the handling isn’t spot on.
We’d also like Saber to stop teasing licences and show a date and a price. Three trailers in, wishlisting is all you can do.
