Xbox Game Pass Drops Deep Rock Galactic and Seven More on October 31

Eight games, including Deep Rock Galactic, Wartales and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, leave Xbox Game Pass on October 31.

Xbox Game Pass Drops Deep Rock Galactic and Seven More on October 31

Eight more games are on their way out of Xbox Game Pass, with October 31 set as the last day to play them through a subscription. The titles now carry the “leaving soon” label in the Xbox app, and all eight are currently available on console, PC and cloud, so players on every type of device are affected.

Every game leaving on October 31

  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered
  • Dead Static Drive
  • Deep Rock Galactic
  • Full Throttle Remastered
  • Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
  • Wartales
  • Wildgate

Deep Rock Galactic and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga are the most recognizable names in the group, and the removal of both Day of the Tentacle Remastered and Full Throttle Remastered means two remastered classics leave on the same day. Wartales, Wildgate, Dead Static Drive and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris complete the list.

The second wave of exits this month

This is the second round of removals in October. On October 15, Game Pass already said goodbye to nine titles, among them Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Pacific Drive and Evil West. Those exits came in a month when Microsoft also added major releases such as Battlefield 6 to the service.

Your plan matters too. The reports we checked do not break down which Game Pass tier each departing title belongs to, so the Leaving Soon section of the Xbox app is the most reliable way to see which of these games affect your own subscription.

How to keep playing after the deadline

If you are midway through one of these games, buying it before October 31 is the simplest way to keep access. Xbox’s catalog notes that members can save up to 20 percent on titles that are leaving, though the exact discount can vary by game, edition and region, so it is worth checking the live store price before you commit. Once the deadline passes, the eight games drop out of the Game Pass library and can no longer be launched through the subscription alone.

Our Take

Game Pass has really become part of our lives. Every month we keep waiting to see which new games are coming, and that says a lot about how much the service has settled into our gaming routine.

That's also why news like this lands differently. Eight games, including Deep Rock Galactic and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, leave on October 31, and this is already the second round of exits this month. Still, we know the cycle by now: some games go out, new ones come in, and we check back the next month to see what's next.

For me, that constant anticipation is what makes Game Pass feel alive. If you're midway through one of the leaving games, check the Leaving Soon section in the Xbox app before the deadline.
