PEAK Is Out Now on Xbox, With Crossplay Across Every Platform

PEAK is out now on Xbox Series X|S and PC for 9.99 US dollars, with crossplay linking Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 players.

PEAK Is Out Now on Xbox, With Crossplay Across Every Platform

PEAK, the cooperative climbing game from Aggro Crab and Landfall, launched on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC on October 22, 2026, priced at 9.99 US dollars. The same day it arrived on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, and crossplay went live for everyone, including Steam players.

PEAK on Xbox: price, Play Anywhere and what is included

The Xbox version went live at 8 a.m. Pacific, 11 a.m. Eastern. It supports Xbox Play Anywhere, so one purchase covers both console and PC, along with achievements and cloud saves. Xbox lists PEAK as a regular purchase, and its announcement makes no mention of Game Pass.

According to Xbox Wire, the console release includes every content update so far, with the extra biomes, cosmetics and features added since the Steam launch, up to The Final Ascent, the last content update, which arrived in August.

For newcomers, PEAK puts up to four friends on a mysterious island with one goal: reach the top of the mountain. The map changes every 24 hours, and each of the four biomes brings its own obstacles. You manage stamina, injuries and food, use ropes and climbing spikes to help each other up, and chat through proximity voice. There is also an offline single player option.

The game first came out on Steam on June 16, 2025, where it sells for 7.99 US dollars. Xbox Wire notes the project started as a game jam in South Korea.

How crossplay works

Crossplay connects Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Groups join each other with room codes, a system Team PEAK added to the Steam version in September. The code appears in the pause menu, friends enter it through Join Game on the main menu, and streamers can hide it in the settings.

There is no progress transfer between platforms, so badges have to be earned again on a new system. Mods are also a gray area: the team says some client side mods might work in mixed lobbies but cannot promise they will not break things, and asks players to test without mods before reporting bugs.

Patch 3.0.0 and the road ahead

The launch arrived with patch 3.0.0 on Steam. Its biggest change is a pool of 208 island maps that will keep cycling indefinitely, so the daily rotation stays fresh without the developers patching every couple of weeks.

Bug fixes are part of it too. Climbing onto a crouching scout’s shoulders works again, players can no longer climb invisible trees in the Mesa, revived scouts no longer get warped into space, and a fix targets the Kiln campfire sometimes vanishing at the start of a run. The temporary cheat for the Bookworm badge is gone too.

Team PEAK says no more major updates are planned. The studios will watch for launch bugs, tie up loose ends and then move on to new projects. Fans who want a boxed copy can also look out for a physical PlayStation 5 edition with Skybound, which includes a buddy code and a sticker passport and ships later this year.
